This isn’t just another awards ceremony—it’s your night to shine. Created by us, for us, The Gabes is our annual remote event where every Rocketeer is a star. No matter your role or tenure, anyone can take home our amazing prizes in the most glamorous award show of the year.

🎬 The Gabes ‘Script’

Just like the big Hollywood productions, The Gabes has its own behind-the-scenes magic. Here’s how it all plays out:

1️⃣ Nominations Period

It all starts here! Everyone gets a chance to nominate the Rocketeers they think are award-worthy. Know someone who should be cloned for their skills, or maybe someone who’s always a lifesaver? This is when you shout their name from the rooftops!

2️⃣ Voting Period

The nominations roll in, and now it’s time for you to cast your vote! The top nominees from each category are revealed, and the voting begins. Who will you crown as the next Gabes legend?

3️⃣ The Event

The grand finale—the night (or day, or afternoon... depending on your time zone) of glitz, glamour, and celebration! We’ll gather for a star-studded event, complete with exciting announcements, heartfelt speeches, and actual prizes for the winners. It’s our very own Hollywood meets Rocket.Chat experience.

Cue the action sequence—this Rocketeer is a force to be reckoned with! They defy all limits, smash through challenges, and keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Who’s your pick for this blockbuster star?

🛟 The Lifesaver: Who are you grateful for?
Every great film has its hero. This Rocketeer is the one you call when you need saving. Their support and kindness have made all the difference to the team. Who’s your unsung hero?

🧩 The Team’s Glue: Who holds the team together?
Behind every great movie is a great director—someone who keeps everyone in sync. This Rocketeer is the director that keeps the cast (aka the team) united and motivated, always ensuring that the show goes on!

🎬 Behind the Scenes: Who quietly shapes our success?
They may not be on the marquee, but without them, there wouldn’t be a show. Like the unsung crew behind any big production, this Rocketeer is essential to our success, working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Every movie needs a solid foundation—enter our DOTS values, guiding us like a script to live by. The DOTS categories celebrate those who embody our core values with star power:

They dream high, always. They’re not afraid of trying new things and bringing new ideas to the table, they take initiative and always go beyond expectations!

🤹 The Owner:
Capable of juggling tasks, new projects, collaborations, and helping other Rocketeers, always with responsibility and accountability. Sometimes, you even get surprised by everything the Owner is capable of doing at the same time!

🤝 The Trustworthy:
You can count on them with your eyes closed! If you know they’re responsible for something, you have nothing to worry about.

📬 The Sharer:
Always ready to share what they know, the Sharer is that person you know is happy to teach and show what they know to allow the team to grow too!
