Your Rocket.Chat Onboarding Journey 🚀

The adventure begins as soon as you accept our contract proposal! From the moment you sign, up until your first day as a Rocketeer, you’ll receive a series of pre-boarding emails 📧. These will include instructions, documents, and all the information you need to start your journey with Rocket.Chat smoothly. A few days before your start date, you’ll also receive guidance on how to set up your Rocket.Chat accounts.

The Onboarding Certification 🎓

The Onboarding Certification will give you a solid foundation of knowledge about Rocket.Chat, our departments, the platforms we use, and so much more! This certification is key, so we ask that you dedicate your first two days to completing it.

After completing the Certification, you will be able to:

1. Understand Rocket.Chat from both a product and business perspective 🚀💡

2. Access resources to identify the teams and departmental representatives available to help you 🤝

3. Gain insights into your daily life as a Rocketeer 🌟

4. Familiarize yourself with the tools and systems you’ll use every day 🔧

The Cross-Departmental Onboarding 🤝

At Rocket.Chat, we believe in fostering a proactive mindset from the start. That’s why we help new Rocketeers understand the bigger picture and enhance their cross-departmental responsibilities. As part of this process, you’ll schedule intro meetings with key stakeholders from other departments to promote engagement, networking, and a deeper understanding of our company’s operations. 🌍

Here’s how we collaborate to make this happen:

• The Manager will provide the names of two or three key stakeholders from other departments who will help guide you.

• The People Team will ensure that you are informed about the nominated stakeholders and that the stakeholders are notified of their meeting with you.

• The New Rocketeer will take the lead in scheduling a 20-minute introductory meeting, individually, with each stakeholder during your first week. 🗓️

• The Stakeholders will attend the intro meeting and share insights into how their department and yours collaborate.

By the end of this process, you’ll have a well-rounded view of how all our teams work together to make Rocket.Chat a success. 🏆 🚀
