Non-Rocketeer Users

Notice that as a standard non-rocketeer uses on open server will only have access to channels and sending messages on this channels, unless they are granted a specific role.

 

To add folks non-rcoketeer users to have roles and be allowed to perform other activities here on open, please create an Access Request ticket (https://rocketchat.atlassian.net/jira/core/projects/AR/form ) and contact Open Admins.

A few roles that we already have created for non-rocketeer users are:

  • Community Liason; For our Community Liason to be properly identified when speaking with Community.

  • Mentor for GSoC; For GSoC Community mentors.

  • GSOC’YY Participant (where YY = last 2 digits on a given year, example GSOC’24 for 2024 participants); For GSoC participants for a given year.

  • FGV Field; For FGV university members here on open helping us with some consultancy initiatives (Speak with Gabriel Casals for more details).

  • Rocket.Chat Partner; For Parters of RocketChat to be properly identified when they speak with Community.
