How to Score Koko Points

There are three ways to earn Koko Points:

Request and Collect

For the following actions, you'll need to submit a request through Zoho People. Your request will be reviewed, and once approved, your Koko Points will be credited to your account.

Finish your onboarding and earn points for achieving your Rocketeer certification!

Welcome new team members and help them integrate into our company culture! If you’re selected and accept the role of being a New Rocketeer’s Buddy, you’ll support their transition, guide them through our processes for the first weeks, and ensure they feel right at home!

10 points/post

Earn points for each post where you share your experiences, achievements, or exciting projects with the hashtag #LifeAtRocketChat.

20 points/event (up to 40/month)

Enhance your learning experience by attending conferences, workshops, and seminars online or offline. Share your insights on LinkedIn with #LifeAtRocketChat for extra points!

20 points/event (up to 40 points/month)

Engage with our contributors by participating in community events. Share these experiences on LinkedIn with #LifeAtRocketChat for extra points!

50 points/event

Ready to demonstrate what SHARE truly means? Whether you're leading a workshop, hosting a Q&A session, or providing guidance, you have the chance to make a powerful impact.

5 points/hour (up to 50 points/month)

Earn 5 points for every hour spent on courses, with a monthly cap of 50 points. Share your insights by posting about it on LinkedIn with #LifeAtRocketChat for extra points and to showcase your expertise.

Admin Allocation

The following achievements will earn you Koko Points automatically. These points are allocated by the admin and added directly to your account without any additional action required on your part.

10 points per successful referral*

Help us discover our next Rocketeer by referring talented candidates!

Earn 10 points for each successful referral made via Greenhouse and is approved in the People Interview stage*.

If your referral is hired and stays with us for at least 6 months, you’ll earn an additional one-month amount of the remote benefit. To learn more about our referral program, click here.

➕ Rocketeer Challenge

Accumulate 50 Koko Points in this category (i.e., 5 successful referrals) in 12 months, and unlock an extra one-month amount of the remote benefit. Your referrals are key to building our amazing team, and we want to reward your efforts in shaping our community!

Keep your Check-In Reviews on schedule and earn points for your timely submissions! This shows your dedication to Rocketeers growth (you included) and ensures we’re all staying aligned with our goals.

Automatic Collection

Certain points are awarded automatically to celebrate special occasions, such as your birthday, company anniversaries, or when you express appreciation using the #rocketchat-thanks. These points will be added to your account without needing to request them.

50 points

Enjoy a special birthday bonus! Points are automatically awarded on your birthday to celebrate your special day. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

200 points per year with Rocket.Chat

The longer you’ve been with us, the more points you earn!

10 points

We know being a parent is a full-time job in itself. To celebrate and honor the incredible work you do, we award special points for both Mother’s and Father’s Day.

Since these dates vary globally, we vary the celebrations each year, but we always make sure to recognize our amazing parents.

20 points (up to 40 points/month)

Who doesn’t love a little appreciation? Earn points for both giving and receiving Koko Thanks.

20 points/call (monthly)

Ready to connect and make new friends? Dive into a Koko 1 1 call with a fellow Rocketeer!

Invitations are sent by Koko every Thursday by 2 P.M. (GMT-3) — click here to check world clocks and catch your perfect match!

#RockeTIP Want to join in but often miss the timing? We’ve got a simple fix! Add "Koko 1 1" to your Google Calendar and get reminders, so you never miss out on these opportunities again.

Request, Track and Redeem Points

To request your Koko Points, go to Zoho People > Compensation > RockStars.
Click the blue button “Add record.”
Select “Credit” and fill in the required information.
Submit your request. Once approved, points will be added to your account.

To check your Koko Points balance, go to Zoho People > Home > My Space > Overview > Profile and find “Koko Points.”

🚨 Remember, the maximum points you can accumulate is 1200. Redeem points for prizes before reaching this limit!

To redeem your Koko Points, go to Zoho People > Compensation > RockStars.
Click the blue button “Add record.”
Select “Debit,” choose your item, and submit your request (be sure to include details like size, model, and color—you can also upload screenshots).
Once approved, your reward will be on its way!

🎁 Introducing Koko Gift: the latest addition to our RockStars Program!

At Rocket.Chat, recognition is a core part of our culture. As a remote team, we already have initiatives to celebrate each other, but there's something extra special about turning those moments into something you can actually unwrap…

How Does Koko Gift Work?

1️⃣ Fill Out the Form

Go to Zoho People > Compensation > RockStars.
Click "Add Record".
Select “Debit” and choose the item you'd like to send.
Check the box “Would you like to send this as a gift to another Rocketeer?” and provide the recipient's name along with a personalized message.

2️⃣ Approval & Processing

We confirm the details with the recipient (size, color, address)
Your special message is sent, and we place the order!
